The optional USB Serial Adapter can be used to connect many of the serial interface cables for data loggers found on MicroDAQ.com to available USB ports on PCs. This adapter’s male DB9 RS-232 connector connects directly to the PC interface cable supplied with software and cable starter kits. Featuring simple "Plug and Play" installation (no IRQs), the USB Serial Adapter draws its power from the USB connection, eliminating the need for a power adapter.  At just two ounces, the Adapter is easy to carry into the field for use with laptops.

Notes on use with HOBO and Stowaway Data Loggers:
BoxCar Pro 4.3 software or later is required to use the USB adapter with Hobo and Stowaway loggers. 

*The USB Serial Adapter has not been tested with Box Car 3.7 or any BoxCar for Mac, so neither of these are supported. There are known problems with BoxCar 3.7, because it does not support COM ports 5 and greater, which are used by the USB Serial Adapter.
