TidBit Coupler included with Optic ShuttleThe Optic Base Station is used to communicate between the host computer* and an Optic data logger. The Optic Base Station connects to the computer interface cable included with the software starter kits. The Optic Base Station includes the Optic Base Station and TidbiT Coupler (shown to the right).

* The serial ports on some palmtop and portable computers do not have enough power to communicate through the Optic Base Station. For these cases there is a battery-powered version of the Optic Base Station available (part # DSB - $ 120.00).
