HOBO Carbon Monoxide (CO) Data Logger
Monitor carbon monoxide (CO) levels in areas such as garages, terminals, loading docks, construction sites, furnace rooms, office buildings and living areas. Convenient battery operation eliminates the need to run wires for AC power, making it easy to deploy the HOBO CO data logger at various potential hotspots. Use the resulting data to help identify problems with furnaces, vehicles, water heaters, stoves, fireplaces, ventilation, air supplies, and flues (non-condensing environments only). Optimize resolution and accuracy with three software-selectable ranges: 0 to 125 ppm, 0 to 500 ppm, 0 to 2000 ppm (parts per million). The Keyspan USB 4-Port Serial Adapter is available for USB Connectivity. WARNING: The HOBO® Carbon Monoxide Data Logger is a data recording device only. The data logger does not replace the need for safety/warning alarm devices that alert personnel when carbon monoxide exposure reaches dangerous levels. Exposure to carbon monoxide levels in excess of 200 ppm may result in minor or moderate injury. Exposure to higher levels may result in convulsions and death within 2-3 hours. If carbon monoxide concentration exceeds 100 ppm, immediately remove all personnel from the area Features and specifications
* Battery life is shorter when CO levels average 10 ppm or more. For example, battery life is 6 months at average concentrations of 100 ppm. Measurement Specifications
**The CO sensor is temperature compensated over the entire operating range. In addition to specifications above, for temperatures from 0°C to 20°C the readings may be lower by as much as 5% or 5 ppm, whichever is greater, for temperatures from 20°C to 40°C the readings may be higher by as much as 5% or 5 ppm, whichever is greater. Physical shocks or rapid changes in ambient pressure may show up as spikes in the data. Response time: 11 minutes typical, depending on installation location and orientation. Exposure level reference
*** U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulation 1917.24: The CO content in any enclosed space shall be maintained at not more than 50 ppm (0.005%). Remove all personnel from enclosed space if the CO concentration exceeds 100 ppm (0.01%). Software and Accessories
NOTE: A BoxCar Pro or BoxCar starter kit is required to operate any of the HOBO H8 Family data loggers. Each Box Car starter kit includes software, PC interface cable and software manual.
