  • Answer:

    While this product might work ok for that application it really isn't designed for it.  This is more for monitoring indoor air quality in ambient conditions.

    My only concern would be that particulate from the rice would make their way into the logger causing accuracy issues with the sensors and possibly damaging the internal circuitry. 

    Typically we would recommend more of an outdoor or industrial style logger but we don't offer any that will monitor CO2 in addition to temp and rH.

    If you don't need CO2 then I would suggest taking a look at either the MX2301 or MX2302 from Onset.
