Overview of the HOBO U23-004 Pro v2 Temperature Data Logger
The Onset HOBO U23-004 Pro v2 Temperature data logger is a weatherproof data logger. The logger features both an internal and an external temperature sensor which mounted on a 6-foot sensor cable. The external sensor allows for fast sensor response times and deployment in tight spaces. The U23-004 can monitor temperature from -40°C to +70°C (-40°F to +158°F) with its internal sensor and -40°C to +100°C (-40°F to +212°F) with its external sensor. The tip of the external sensor can be submerged in water up to 50°C (122°F) for up to one year. The logger has a typical battery life of up to 3-years when using a logging interval longer than one minute. Downloading the logger can be done in less than 30 seconds using the required optical USB interface (BASE-U-4 or U-DTW-1). The logger is configured, and data is viewed using either free HOBOware or HOBOware Pro (paid) software.
