Overview of the HOBO U24-002-C Salinity, Conductivity, & Temp Data Logger
The Onset HOBO U24-002-C is a cost-effective data logger designed to measure salinity, conductivity, and temperature in saltwater environments. This is an ideal solution for monitoring relatively small changes in salinity (±5,000 μS/cm) such as in saltwater bays, or to detect salinity events, such as upwelling, rainstorm, or discharge events. When combined with data from the HOBO U26 Dissolved Oxygen logger you can monitor percent dissolved oxygen saturation. Downloading the logger can be done in less than 30 seconds using the required optical USB interface (BASE-U-4 or U-DTW-1). The logger is configured, and data is viewed using either free HOBOware or HOBOware Pro (paid) software.
Note: For monitoring salinity in waters with more than ±5,000 μS/cm variation, we recommend the U24-001 for its increased accuracy.
