Overview of the Reed Instruments R8140 Light Meter
The Reed R8140 Light Meter is an auto-ranging LED light meter with a detachable and rotatable senor which allows for one-handed operation. The meter is capable of measuring light sources including white, red, green, yellow, and blue LEDs up to 199,900 Lux (19,990 foot candles). The R8140 includes an auto-ranging feature to optimize resolution and its able to keep track of minimum and maximum readings. In addition to LED this instrument is also capable of measuring standard incandescent light sources. Other features include an easy-to-read backlit LCD, perform cosine and color corrected measurements, and user adjustable parameters for specialized light sources. The R8140 is the perfect choice for OSHA work environment compliance, museum exhibits, lighting system installations, cinematography and photography work, and other industrial applications.
