  • Answer:

    The Fridge-Tag series of loggers must be replaced once the calibration certificate expires because the battery is not replaceable.

    The only exception to this is the new Fridge-Tag3 which has a replaceable battery.

    Yes, the alarm settings can be changed at any time so you can use it in a fridge or freezer application.

    Yes, the programmable version can be used in either application since it doesn't come with preprogramed alarm value settings.  You would need to program the logger for either fridge or freezer use depending on where you are going to use it.  The reason these are slightly more expensive than the standard version is because these need to have a two point calibration for both the fridge and freezer versus just a single fridge or freezer for the standard ones.
