  • Answer:

    The manufacturer doesn't publish the accuracy spec for readings of 1 to 10 amps as it is below the rating of the device.  The current sensor isn't sensitive enough to accurately sense current levels that low.

    As you approach 10 amps it might start to become more accurate but since they don't spec it for use below 10amps they don't publish that accuracy curve.

    Yes, the logger can be set to run via the AC adaptor instead of the batteries for extended periods of time.

    But please bear in mind the storage capacity of the logger once it reaches the limit of data storage it will stop recording.

    This is the only AC Current & Voltage logger from Reed that we sell.  We do sell other brand loggers that have more than two channels though.

    The software is used to set up and configure the logger as well as read out the data.  It operates on Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8.  We have been told it works fine on 10 as well but we haven't tested it yet or formally been notified by the manufacturer.
